A new 12-home subdivision in east Peachtree City will feature tree-lined streets under a landscape plan approved by the citys Planning Commission Monday night.
The Hyde Park subdivision located on Carriage Lane is nearing completion, officials said. Included in the amenity package is an existing pond which will be encircled by a soft walking trail of crushed stone and a large gazebo.
The pond can be accessed by a golf cart path to the subdivision and also from a cul-de-sac in the subdivision.
In a memo to the commission, City Planner David Rast commended the developer for their willingness to provide a significant amount of landscaping as a part of the amenities package for this subdivision.
The commission also approved a landscape plan for Atlas Fabric Gallery in the Braelinn Village retail center. Rast noted that a large existing oak tree on the property was saved, as was a bank of trees along the adjacent cart path.
