Landmark Christian boys and girls win cross country titles again

The state cross-country meets took place at Carrollton high School Saturday afternoon and Landmark Christian’s boys captured another state title in Class A, while Our Lady of Mercy placed fourth.

The top five runners for Landmark Christian, with their overall finishes and times, were:

• Will Bonn, 1, 16:13 (state champ).

• Michael Leonard, 3, 17:18.

• Brett Lewis, 14, 18:12.

• Brad Eisenburg, 16, 18:28.

• Zach Speir, 17, 18:31.

Our Lady of Mercy’s top five were:

• Zach Lethbridge, 12, 18:08.

• Ryan Shilling, 23, 18:52.

• Pat Super, 29, 19:01.

• Matt Fraas, 30, 19:10.

• Daniel Harland, 37, 19:23.

Landmark Christian’s girls also won the state title, while Our Lady of Mercy placed fourth.

The top five runners for Landmark Christian were:

• Sarah Blanton, 3, 20:46.

• Caroline Jones, 5, 21:04.

• Kaity Bulger, 8, 21;44.

• Jessie Thames, 10, 22:05.

• Kassi Deel, 18, 22:50.

Our Lady of Mercy’s top five were:

• Marina Fleming, 15, 22:41.

• Sam Jumper, 19, 22:50.

• Savini Santha, 22, 23:10.

• Kelsey Oberst, 38, 24:27.

• Lindsey Oberst, 48, 25:11.

In the AAAA girls race, McIntosh placed second

McIntosh’s top five were

• Emily Borsare, 2, 19:00.

• Olivia Tucker, 18, 20:39.

• Erica Hughey, 27, 21:05.

• Rebecca Stokes, 3, 21:23.

• Melissa Anderson, 57, 22:00.

McIntosh’s Michael Mateos qualified to run in the AAAA boys state meet and placed 34th with a time of 17:49.

Starr’s Mill placed seventh in the AAAAA boys race, while Fayette County placed 18th.

Starr’s Mill’s top five were:

• Austin Enriquez, 10, 16:23.

• Daniel Shankle, 11, 16:30.

• Craig Hyatt, 23, 16:54.

• Ryan Darr, 85, 18:00.

• Jacob McBride, 104, 18:21.

Fayette County’s top five were:

• Nathaniel Foster, 29, 16;56.

• Eric Birdsong, 124, 18:44.

• Ryan Kennedy, 135, 18:58.

• Bradley Phillips, 151, 19:39.

• Benjamin Londrillo, 159, 20:30.

In the AAAAA girls race, Starr’s Mill placed 12th and Fayette County placed 18th.
