District 7 Commissioner William Bill Edwards, second from left, joins PEC Development and KB Home executives in a groundbreaking ceremony for the Hampton Oaks Subdivision at Highway 92 and Butner Road in south Fulton County. Others shown are, from left, PEC Vice President Todd Hager, KB Executive Vice President Ed Woodland and PEC President Paul Corley. More than 800 homes will be built on 500 acres of land. The homes will be priced between $150,000 and $300,000. Amenities will include a swimming pool and clubhouse, tennis, a childrens multi-use field, a bike path, walking trails and a certified wildlife habitat. The development has set aside more than 50 percent green space. Construction is expected to begin during the summer of 2005.
