Offices in the Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty organization have once again been designated as collection points for the annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign.
Jerry Nesbitt, managing broker of the companys Peachtree City/Fayette County office, is once again coordinating the Toys for Tots effort for the firm. This is the 57th annual Toys for Tots drive, and this is the 23nd year that Coldwell Banker Bullard has participated in the effort.
Nesbitt emphasized that the real estate companys offices are serving only as collection points. We do not distribute toys, he said. This is done through local churches, local Department of Family and Children Services offices, or the Marines.
Area residents wanting to contribute can drop off a new, unwrapped toy at a Coldwell Banker Bullard office or one of the other collection points, and the Marines will take it from there, distributing the toys to needy children through local charitable organizations. The Web address for the Atlanta area campaign is www.atlantatoysfortots.com.
Nesbitt said his companys collection effort this year kicks off Monday, Nov. 22. Wednesday, Dec. 22, is the deadline to bring items to Coldwell Banker Bullard office. For those preferring to contribute money to the campaign, a check made out to Toys for Tots will be accepted.
Coldwell Banker Bullard offices are located at 238 Stockbridge Rd., Jonesboro; 4295 Jodeco Rd., McDonough; 658 West Third Street, Jackson; 1968-A Hwy. 54 West, Fayetteville (just outside the eastern city limits of Peachtree City); on Hwy. 34 East, Newnan (just west of the Thomas Crossroads intersection); and 122-A South 13th St. in Griffin. There are two collections points in Conyers, the Coldwell Banker Bullard office at 1070 Iris Dr. SW and the office of an affiliated company, Coldwell Banker American Land Mart, at 889 Commerce Dr. (Ste. A).
The Toys for Tots campaign has grown from a small project in the Los Angeles area to nationwide effort. The campaign has the support of a wide array of other organizations, groups, committees, locals businesses, and national corporations.
