Christ Our Shepherd holds special service to launch capital funds driveOn Sunday, Oct. 24, the congregation of Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church celebrated at a Festival Worship Service held at Starrs Mill High School. This was the first time in many years that the congregation of Christ Our Shepherd had been able to worship together in one worship service. Because of a lack of space at its present site, the congregation currently has five worship services each weekend one Saturday evening, three on Sunday morning, and one Sunday evening. The Festival service, attended by around 800 worshippers, signaled the beginning of Called to Action, the congregations capital funds drive. The drive will help the congregation relocate the facility to a site with more land and room to expand its ministries to the community. |
