F’ville seeks new city prosecutor

Fayetteville’s municipal court prosecutor has resigned effective Jan. 1, so the city is on the hunt for a replacement.

Warren Sellers is bowing out to take a position in the District Attorney’s office, according to city documents.

The city has already sent out a Request for Proposals to prospective candidates, and responses will be reviewed by the City Council at an upcoming meeting.

The municipal court disposes of misdemeanor criminal and traffic cases brought forth by the Fayetteville Police Department. Other city ordinance violations are also heard in municipal court.
