The crowd at Wednesdays meeting of the Peachtree City Tourism Association was much smaller than the previous meeting. There were no outbursts or passionate speeches and the board moved smmothly through their agenda.
The benefits for employees, both part time and full time, and their immediate families were reinstated and expanded. Not only do the benefits go back to what they were under previous management but employees of the amphitheater can now enjoy tennis center privileges and tennis center employees will be able to attend amphitheater events, if there are available seats. Other benefits include court time and discounts at the Ashland Grille and the Tennis Center Pro Shop.
The authorization to execute the Clayton College and State University lease, which means that the college will continue to use the classrooms at the tennis center, was also approved Wednesday, as were repairs to the visitor center (the old pro shop) and the creation of logo designs and web site designs for the Tourism Association, the tennis center and the amphitheater.
Dr. Manny Hall of Clayton College and State University was on hand to express his gratitude and appreciation that the agreement was finalized.
The next meeting of the Peachtree City Tourism Association is Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 6 p.m. at the Peachtree City Tennis Center.
