Deacon board members selected

Those recently selected to serve on the National Heights Baptist Church’s board of deacons for 2004-2005 include Mary Bagby, Vivian Bullock, Jackie Cody, Connie King, Ann Marchbanks, Debbie McFarlin, Larry Price, Franklin Scarbrough, Don Stephens and Ruth Williams.

Abundant Life plans barbecue, yard sale

Abundant Life Worship Center will have a barbecue and yard sale Saturday, Nov. 6, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the church, 1960 Ga. Hwy. 74 south, Tyrone.

Inman announces upcoming activities for kids

Inman United Methodist Church upcoming activities for kids includes indoor swimming at Kedron Aquatic Center Saturday, Nov. 6, from 1-4 p.m. Acolyte training for old and new acolytes will be held Sunday, Nov. 14, from 10-10:45 a.m. during Sunday school. Corinth church to feature dinner, singing Nov. 13

Corinth Baptist Church will feature an evening of dinner and singing Saturday, Nov. 13, featuring The Corinth Crusaders with David Ables, and friends. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m., followed by singing at 7 p.m. Dinner will consist of lasagna, salad, bread, drink and dessert for $7.50 (adults) or $4 (children 5-12). Children under the age of four eat free. The event is a fund raiser to enable the Corinth Crusaders to purchase their own sound system. FFUMC to sponsor Christmas Home Tour

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will sponsor a Christmas Home tour of six beautiful Fayette County homes on Dec. 3 and 4. Also, there will be a silent auction held at the Holliday-Dorsey-Fife House Museum from 1-5 p.m., during the tour. Tickets are on sale at the main office of the church, 175 East Lanier Ave. Call for reservations, 770-461-4313. Tickets will be limited and early reservations are encouraged.

National Heights ladies plan tea Nov. 6

The ladies of National Heights Baptist Church will have a tea Saturday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the church. The cost is $12 per person. FFUMC sets craft show, bake sale

The United Methodist Women (UMW) at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will have a craft show, bake sale and bric-a-brac sale Saturday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Proceeds will beneift local charities.
