Art auction raises more than $12,000This has been our most successful year yet! said R.C. Rover, art auction committee chairman for the event held recently at St. Andrews in-the-Pines Episcopal Church in Peachtree City. The art auction raised over $12,000 for church needs and community outreach programs. The vestry of St. Andrews recently approved disbursement of the proceeds. Forty-nine percent will be given to the church building fund. The remaining 51 percent will be disbursed to Southwest Christian Hospice, St. Andrews Pre-school Scholarship, pre-school playground equipment, Fayette Breast Cancer Assistance Fund, Fayette Youth Protection Home, Fayette Domestic Violence, childrens diabetes, Camp High Hope, outreach ministries, Scout Troop 209, and art Girl Scout Patrol St. Andrews. Rover and his committee extended their thanks to the many church members and guests who purchased art, and to the many church ladies who provided food for the event. The committee also extended thanks to the boy and girl scouts who helped set up the tent and paintings for display.
