Shuffler joins Grace Evangelical as pastor of family, childrens ministriesScott Shuffler has joined the staff at Grace Evangelical Church as the pastor of family and childrens ministries. Shuffler, a native of Florida, recently moved to Fayette County from Texas, where he attended Dallas Theological Seminary. He completed a master of arts in Christian education (with an emphasis in family ministries) and a master of arts in cross-cultural ministries before leaving Dallas. Shuffler and his wife, Kimberly, have served at churches in Kansas City, Mo. and Dallas, Texas, and spent two years in campus ministry at a university in South Korea. They have been married almost 11 years, and have two boys: Caleb, four years old, and Ethan, one year old. Shuffler will be working with both the family and childrens enrichment ministries. He oversees the Sunday morning ministry to children (birth through fifth grade), the Sunday afternoon AWANA ministry, and is developing a ministry that will provide both training and encouragement to strengthen families as they face the pressures that are common to family life. Grace Church is committed to helping families grow together in relationship with God and other families, said senior pastor Bruce Hebel. We are excited to have Scott join our team and help us accomplish that vision. Church members will celebrate Shufflers arrival with a Family Fun Festival on Sunday, Nov. 7. Members of the community are invited to participate by meeting Shuffler and the ministry team during the festival. Worship service is at 9:30 a.m. with Sunday school at 11:15. Festival activities, including lunch, will begin at 12:30 p.m. with fun activities for kids of all ages, including several inflatable play areas. The church is at 164 Flat Creek Trail, west of Fayetteville. |
