Cliftondale community celebrates with festivalThe Fulton County Department of Parks and Recreation will participate in a festival this weekend to celebrate the progress of the Cliftondale community. Activities will kick off with a 2-mile walk at 9 a.m., and the Fall Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Commissioner William Bill Edwards and Parks and Recreation Director John H. Culbreth will bring greetings. Under the theme, Celebrating Our Quiet Past Embracing our Rising Future, the festival will feature childrens games and prizes, live entertainment, athletic clinics, health screenings, a black-light puppet show and delicious food. Neighbors old and new will gather to reflect on and celebrate Cliftondales wonderful past and discuss the future of the community. The festival is supported by the Cliftondale Community Club, the Cliftondale United Methodist Church, the Emmanuel Worship Center and the Enon Baptist Church.
