Correction

A story in Wednesday’s Citizen about the Peachtree City Council being the only one in Fayette County not to encourage passage of Tuesday’s Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax vote contained misleading information about the position of the Tyrone Town Council. In a vote last week, Tyrone officials approved a resolution supporting the county’s transportation plan, but under the advice of Tyrone’s legal counsel it specifically excluded any language endorsing the SPLOST proposal itself. The law firm of Sanders, Haugen, Sears & Meeker represents both Peachtree City and Tyrone.
