Planning Comm. approves site planThe Peachtree City Planning Commission met Monday night and unanimously approved a conceptual site plan for Atlantic Distributing. They also had a workshop discussing OMNI Fuels at Kedron, where the KFC/PIzza Hut was located. Atlantic Distributing is a two story freestanding office/warehouse development on Dividend Drive. The parcel is 11.84 acres and is located between Lawson-Mardon and Tek-Rail. The plan was approved with the conditions that concrete wheel stops must be provided in all parking spaces that abut a sidewalk and the stormwater detention pond should be designed to provide a minimal impact to the existing gravel access road to the cemetery. OMNI Fuels plans on keeping much of the former KFC/Pizza hut building the same and that the car wash and canopy would follow the architecture of the building. There will also be a hydrological study as there will be more impervious surface. The biggest point of discussion was talk of an accel/decel lane as well as a right in/right out for the facility. Since it was a workshop, there was no action taken. A conceptual site plan for OMNI Fuels will come before the planning commission at a later date. The next meeting of the Planning Commission will be Nov. 8.
