Woman says friend raped her at Fayetteville home

A Fayetteville woman reported that she was forcibly raped Friday evening at a residence in the city, according to a report filed by the Fayetteville Police Department.

The 41-year-old victim, whose name is being withheld by police, indicated that the attack occurred between 9 and 10:30 p.m. after she had gone over to a friend’s house, police said. She also identified that friend as the person who raped her, according to a police report.

As of press time Tuesday, Fayetteville police hadn’t charged the alleged assailant in the case.
