School trespassers nabbedBy JOHN MUNFORD
Two boys who came onto the campus of McIntosh High School without permission Friday after school were arrested after they ran away from school administrators, police said. It didnt help that when they ran across Ga. Highway 54, they did so in front of the patrol car of a Peachtree City police officer who was responding to the call, police said. Both suspects, Orlando Sean Foster, 18, and a 16-year-old juvenile, were arrested on the spot, said Peachtree City Police Chief James Murray. Foster and the unnamed 16-year-old boy, who are both from Peachtree City but not students at McIntosh, were charged with criminal trespassing, disrupting a public school, improper crossing of the road and theft of lost or mislaid property, police said. They were originally on bikes before ditching them near the scene, police said. One of the boys was asked what he was doing at the school and he told the officer that he was getting a pair of gym shorts, police said. He didnt reply when asked why he was running, police said. School video revealed that the boys entered the school from a door at the foreign language wing and then one of them went into a locker room in the school gym but didnt take anything, Murray said. When spotted by a school official, the boys were originally taken by an assistant principal to the school office, where they were asked to sit on a bench, police said. After that, the boys walked out the door in their attempt to escape, police said.
