Woman injured in Fayetteville wreckA Fayetteville woman was seriously injured when her car collided with a truck Friday just before noon at the intersection of Jimmie Mayfield Boulevard and Bradley Drive, police said. Nora McLaughlin, 63, had numerous broken bones, according to the accident report filed by the Fayetteville Police Department. Her 1995 Toyota Camry collided with a 1999 Ford F-250 truck driven by Dan R. Foreman, 56, of 577 Chappell Rd., Fayetteville. Foreman told police he was waiting on Jimmie Mayfield to turn left onto Bradley Drive when he stopped halfway in the intersection because he knew he would not make it through the intersection, the report stated. Traffic on Jimmie Mayfield was shut down for about 20 minutes so the medical helicopter could land and take McLaughlin to Atlanta Medical Center for treatment. Foreman was charged with failure to yield.
