Voting informationVoters whose names are not on the Electors List or the Fulton County Master List of Voters on election day, Tuesday, November 2, 2004 Ð and who claim to be registered to vote Ð will be allowed to cast a provisional ballot if the poll official cannot determine the status of their registration. Fulton County Registration and Elections Director Gloria Champion says election officials will check the Master List of Voters to determine registration. If the voter is registered at another precinct, the voter will be directed to the correct precinct. Each precincts Electors List contains names of registered voters for that location only. The Master List contains names for all precincts in the County. State law requires voters to cast ballots in the precinct where they are registered. To confirm correct precinct location before election day, Fulton County voters should call 404-730-7072 or check the Secretary of States web site at www.sos.state.ga.us/elections. Following the election, qualified provisional ballots will be counted if Fulton County election officials can verify that the individuals voting are registered and eligible to vote in Fulton County.
