Portrait of SenoiaPortrait of Senoia is a growing collection of black and white photographs of historical prominence. The photographic portraits by photographer Gary Gruby are of local residents past and present, young and old. The collection of more than 40 framed, archival prints is on permanent loan to the Senoia Area Historical Society and is exhibited at their headquarter building on the corner of Couch and Pylant Streets in Senoia. For the past four years, each October, Portrait of Senoia has grown with the addition of new portraits by Gary Gruby of people who live here, play here and call Senoia home. On Saturday and Sunday, another photo is added to the collection. The latest addition is another portrait of a fine, strong Senoia lady, dear to those who know her. The community is invited to the opening reception Saturday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. If you have never seen the Portrait of Senoia exhibit, this is a great opportunity to stroll through some of this little town's very special history through Gary Gruby's photographs. And if you have seen this collection before, come see how it has grown.
