Prince of Peace Lutheran to celebrate 20th anniversaryPrince of Peace Lutheran Church will celebrate its 20th Anniversary this Sunday morning, Oct. 24, with a full schedule of services and activities. We want to honor the past but point to the future, says Justin Kollmeyer, pastor of the congregation for the past 18 years. We have come a long way since the charter was signed in 1984, but we know weve only just begun to be the church God wants us to be. Many ministries have highlighted the life of the church over the past 20 years, including outstanding programs for children and youth. This Sunday the regular schedule will include worship services at 8:15, 9:30 (contemporary), and 11 a.m. (traditional). Then, all members and guests will have an old fashioned homecoming picnic on the grounds at noon. Anyone with any association with Prince of Peace is invited to bring a picnic and join in. Activities for children and a live band will be a part of the festivities. Prince of Peace is on Ga. Hwy. 314 between Lowes and The Pavilion in Fayetteville.
