Wedding AnnouncementsBowers-Borden Alexia Brooke Bowers and Gray Michael Borden were married Sept. 25, 2004, at Atlanta First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Carol Scruggs and Dr. Buddy Gray conducted the ceremony. A reception was held at The Four Seasons Hotel. The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. Attending the bride was the maid of honor, Kara Szczepanic. Bridesmaids were Susanne Hodges, Jessica Holtze, Jennifer Hoover, April Keuter, Joanna Lowder, and sisters of the groom, Kara and Skye Borden. The grooms father served as best man. Groomsmen were Harvey Farrior, John Hope, George Liles, Spencer Liles, George Milmine, Tabor Novak, and brother of the bride, Ariston Bowers. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Karen) Bowers of Birmingham Ala., formerly of Peachtree City, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bowers of Pensacola, Fla. and Mr. and Mrs. Rex Barrow of Navarre, Fla. She is a graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in industrial engineering. She currently is in her last year of law school at the University of Alabama. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave (Lynda) Borden of Pine Level, Ala., and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Dykes Pruitt, also of Pine Level. He is a graduate of Washington and Lee with a degree in business administration and also is in his last year of law school at the University of Alabama. The couple honeymooned in Peru and will reside in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Yarbrough-Croft Jeff and Angela Yarbrough of Fayetteville announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Jessica Reina, to Byron Still Croft, son of Diane and Rodger Croft, also of Fayetteville. The wedding will be Oct. 23, 2004, at Woolsey Baptist Church. A reception will follow at the Shamrock Water Authority. |
