Fayette Community Hospital hosts womens health fairFayette Community Hospital is shining the spotlight on womens health.ÊThe Hospital will host a Womens Health Fair Saturday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the FCH Community Room.ÊThe Womens Health Fair will provide free information for women about topics such as diabetes, heart disease, breast cancer, nutrition and much more.ÊPink balloons and signs will guide you to the Health Fair. Fayette Community Hospital wants to equip women with the tools they need to lead healthier lives, said DiAnne D. Wallace, RTR, CRA, FAHRA, director of Radiology Imaging Services. The Womens Health Fair is just one initiative that will empower women to take charge of their health. Experts and advisors from our clinical service departments will be on hand to teach and inform attendees about womens health issues. Mammography technologists will be available to discuss womens breast health issues. Physical therapists will demonstrate exercises that can improve bone strength. Free blood sugar level screenings will be offered by our Laboratory department.ÊNurses will be on hand to do blood pressure checks. Our Cardiopulmonary department will inform attendees about significant lifestyle changes that could protect them from the leading cause of death among American women: heart disease. Nutritionists will be available to answer questions on nutrition and diet guidelines. Fayette Community Hospital is committed to providing quality healthcare services to women and will open its Womens Services Center early next year.ÊHealth fair participants can complete a survey sharing their ideas for the new Center.
