Transportation fair at Clayton State will showcase commutingoptions and alternatives Clayton State will be holding its annual Fall Earth Day and Transportation Fair Nov. 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be held in the University Center Quad in back of Clayton States new University Center, or inside the University Center in case of rain. The event, sponsored by Clayton States Public Safetys University Rideshare and 1-87-RIDEFIND, is open to students, faculty, and the general public. Those who stop by will learn ways to help our environment, how to find a carpool match, about alternative transportation and fuel vehicles, community and volunteer services, stress reduction methods, and other commuter options. There will be door prizes and free T-shirts given away to individuals who complete an event survey. Clayton State is hosting more than 15 exhibitors for the event including: 1-87-RIDEFIND, Allan Vigil Ford, American Office Paper Recycling, American Motorcycle Association, Atlanta Bicycle Campaign, CCSU Parking and University RideShare, Clear Air Better Air BAIR, EV Club of the South, EarthShare of Georgia, Georgia Department of Community Affairs, GRTA/C-Tran, Reynolds Nature Preserve, Sierra Club, and the Clean Air Campaign. Volunteers are wanted for the event to help exhibits for recycling, needy causes, volunteer services, energy saving, and other related environmental topics.
