EMC opens new headquarters

Residents in northern Coweta County and South Fulton County won’t have to travel as far to pay their power pills.

Officials at Coweta-Fayette EMC unveiled their new facility earlier this month at 807 Collinsworth Road near Interstate 85 in northern Coweta County.

The facility is a full-service center and provides residents a full set of services for their power needs.

“The new facility is more centrally located in the EMC’s service territory and will be easier for members to access in the less congested area,” said EMC’s Mary Ann Bell.

But, she added, members can still stop off at the company’s other two offices in Newnan and Palmetto and pay their bills.

The company showed off the new office at last week’s annual meeting that featured fun and games for the whole family. for “Fun on the Midway.”

Coweta-Fayette EMC is a consumer-owned cooperative providing electricity and related services to 64,000 consumers in parts of Coweta, Fayette, Heard, South Fulton, Meriwether, Clayton, Spalding and Troop counties.
