Bad Links? | Float down the Chattahoochee Oct. 15Keep South Fulton Beautiful and partners invite you to float down the Chattahoochee River Oct.15. River educators will be working to provide a wonderful opportunity for education and fun on the Chattahoochee. We hope you will join us in learning how YOU can better care for our important local water resource, the Chattahoochee River. The group will meet at the South Fulton boat ramp off Campbellton Road/ Ga. Highway 166 at the Metro Atlanta Softball Complex by 10:15 AM. The first boat leaves at 10:30 a.m. After floating from the ramp to the vicinity of the Ga. Highway. 92 bridge. Join the group for a delicious fish fry by Rick Blackwell of Lets Go Fishing with fish from the cool, clean waters of regional lakes! Rick will also be available to provide professional fishing advice. The Chattahoochee River supplies 70 percent of metro Atlanta's drinking water, which is more than 300 million gallons per day. Every day Americans use between 140-160 gallons of water for drinking, bathing, cooking, and other daily activities. |
