S.L. Lewis Elementary School celebrates 30 yearsS.L. Lewis Elementary School in College Park (Fulton County Schools) will celebrate 30 years as a community school October 12. Former students, staff, and community members are invited to attend this special celebration. The anniversary celebration is planned for 6:30 - 8 p.m. The celebration will begin with a rededication ceremony in the cafeteria. Refreshments and a memory slideshow will document the last 30 years of S.L. Lewis contribution to the community and education along with a 4th grade performance and a musical and movement performance. Named for Samuel L. Lewis, the school celebrated its first official open house October 16, 1974, covering first through seventh grades. The school currently houses 615 students, prekindergarten through fifth grade, and approximately 80 staff members. S.L. Lewis is located at 6201 Connell Road in College Park.
