Political forum is next weekBy JOHN THOMPSON
Political junkies in Senoia will get their first fix of the season next week. The Senoia Area Business Association is sponsoring a political forum for the four candidates seeking the two seats open on the Senoia City Council this election next Thursday at 7 p.m. Incumbents Bill Wood and Robert Belisle are facing opposition from political newcomer Charlene Redding and former City Administrator Murray McAfee. The two candidates with the highest vote totals will assume office in January. During Thursdays forum at the East Coweta Senior Center on Howard Road, candidates will give opening statements on why they should be elected, and also field questions on some of the issues facing the city. The forum is being moderated by Coweta Citizen editor John Thompson.
