Offshoot Productions' fall acting workshops begin Sunday, October
3, at the Fayette Family YMCA, 215 Huiet Road, Fayetteville. The
first session, "Performing Ensemble Comedy," is designed for
adults and teens 14 and older. The workshop, which meets from
2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and costs $30, explores improvisational approaches
to comedy and audience participation. Those attending the workshop
are sure to pick up valuable tips and have a great deal of fun
as well. No previous experience is required.

Workshops are taught by a team of cast and staff members
currently working on Offshoot's fall show,Snow White and the
Seven Dwarfs. Additional sessions for adults and teens include "Tools
of the Trade: The Actor's Body" on Sunday, October 10 from
2:00 to 6:00 p.m.($40)and"Tools of the Trade: The Versatile
Voice" on Saturday, October 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00
p.m. ($30) . Youngsters aged 7 to 13 may sign up for "Making
Your Character Come Alive," which will be held on Saturday,
October 16, from 2 :00 to 4:00 p.m.
($20). Advanced registration is strongly encouraged, as workshop
size is limited to guarantee individual attention to each participant.
