PTC plans ‘Friday Fun Day’ Oct. 15

With Fayette County schools closed for a holiday Friday, Oct. 15, are you looking for something for your child to do?

The Peachtree City Parks and Recreation Department is planning an all-day outing to Stone Mountain Park on that day.

The only thing parents have to do is pack a lunch for their kids. The recreation staff will handle the rest.

Year-round staff members will act as counselors on the fun-filled day. A bus will leave the Kedron Fieldhouse at 9 a.m., but activities will be available as early as 8 a.m. for parents who need to drop off their kids on the way to work.

The bus will return at 4 p.m., but again pickup can be as late as 6 p.m.

The special event is designed for children ages 6 to 12.

In case of bad weather, alternate plans will be made to include movies or other indoor activities. The cost is $20 for Fayette County Residents and $30 for non-residents.
