County rec department offers softball tournament Friday, winter sports

The Fayette County Recreation Department is preparing for a busy fall and winter season. They will offer a one pitch softball tournament this Friday at McCurry Park and will offer three different adult athletic leagues this winter.

There will be a church, a power division and a ladies volleyball league for girls ages 14-18; a women’s, men’s open and church division of basketball and a men’s open league of flag football.

Registration for all of those leagues will take place the first two weeks of November. Early registration is encouraged because the leagues will fill up quickly.
