Line Creek’s final service is Sept. 26

Line Creek Baptist Church will have its final service in the old location this Sunday with both morning and afternoon services, special singing, lunch following the morning service and a baptism. Morning events start with Sunday school at 10 a.m., followed by worship at 11 a.m. A meal will be served following the service. Afternoon events will feature singing by the Line Creek choir and a sermon by former pastor the Rev. Franklin Treadwell. A baptism will conclude the service. Line Creek is presently on Ga. Hwy. 54 near Wal-Mart, opposite the entrance to Planterra Ridge in Peachtree City. A new church is being constructed on Bob Smith Road near Sharpsburg in Coweta County. Bethany’s revival starts Sunday

Bethany United Methodist Church will have a revival Sunday, Sept. 26 through Wednesday, Sept. 29, featuring the Rev. Gerry Davis. Services begin at 7 p.m. each evening. A covered dish dinner is planned for Wednesday at 6 p.m., preceding the revival. The community is invited to attend. Bethany is on the corner of Lee’s Lake Road and Rivers Road in north Fayette County.

Sam’s group plans trip to Dunaway Gardens

The Sam’s group for seniors at Fayetteville Christian Church will travel to Newnan for a visit to Dunaway Gardens Thursday, Sept. 30. Cost of admission to Dunaway is $10 per person. S.A.G.E. group heads for Abbeville

The S.A.G.E. group for seniors at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will travel to Abbeville, S.C. Thursday, Sept. 30, for a tour of the historic town and lunch at Yoder’s Mennonite Restaurant. Cost of the trip is $42. Contact Ken or Carolyn Broady, 770-486-7727, for reservations.

Crosspoint to celebrate first anniversary

Crosspoint Community Church will celebrate its first anniversary Sunday, Oct. 3 with a special service planned for 11 a.m. and dinner on the grounds following the service. The church will supply fried chicken. Those attending are asked to bring their favorite side dishes. The church is at 300 Tivoli Gardens, Suite 408, in Peachtree City. Liberty Baptist Church elects deacons

The Liberty Baptist Church congregation recently elected the following men to serve as deacons: Hubert Cook, Mike Evans, Skip Ferron, Clyde Fincher, David Goree, Mark Grady, Joe Green, Jim Harbert, Ken Lindsey, Al Manning, Ernie Moore, Bill Sambdman, Jack Touchstone, and Charlie White. Liberty Baptist is on Highway 314 in Fayetteville.

Southern Gospel music featured in Fairburn
