Health fair set for this weekend

Heritage of Peachtree Retirement & Assisted Living community will host a Health Fair Friday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. There will be a variety of health care professionals who will provide free services. The fair is free and open to the public.

Participating health services will include Alternacare Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, who will conduct free blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol testing. Peachtree Immediate Care will provide grip strength testing and will have door prizes for a free flu shot and a free pneumonia shot. Dr. Marilyn Durden of Durden Chiropractic will do free scoliosis testing for children and adults. Lee Goodrum Pharmacy will answer questions on drug interactions, bubble-packed medications and provide information on the new medicare drug benefits. Dr. Scott Williamson of Tyrone Eye Care will provide free visual acuity testing and glaucoma screening.
