Bad Links? | Fayette-Starrs Mill DAR accepts proclamationBy CAROLYN CARY Regent Marilyn Frazar of the Fayette-Starrs Mill Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution accepted a proclamation for Constitution WeekÊfrom Peachtree City Mayor Steve Brown. The United States Constitution was signed Sept. 17, 1787 at 4 p.m. in Philadelphia. Members of the Fayette chapter rang a bell at that exact time. The State of Georgia became the fourth state in the Union to ratify the Constitution, signed by Georgia delegates Abraham Baldwin and William Few. The Fayette chapter organized Dec. 6, 2003, andÊis displaying a copy of the document at the Tyrone Library as well as donating a book on the Constitution to the McIntosh High School library.
