Jenna Lee Jackson, 14 years old, of Fayetteville was recently crowned 2004 Miss Jr. Teen Atlanta by Nationals Incorporated, out of 101 contestants. The pageant took place on August 14 at the Clayton County Schools Performing Arts Center in Jonesboro. Jenna submitted an application and took part in an interview session conducted by Patt Neidert, this years Atlanta Pageant Coordinator. She was judged on a personal interview, casual wear and how she answered a question during her formal wear competition. Personality was the number one aspect that each contestant was judged on during all phases of the competition.
She will represent Atlanta and the surrounding communities at the 2004 National Pageant Competition that will take place in Orlando in December. She was awarded a $1,000 scholarship in the form of a US Series EE Bond, an expense paid trip of five nights and six days to compete in Orlando. She will be competing for prizes such as a ski trip or cruise, in addition to a new 2004 car or a $10,000 cash scholarship toward attending a college of her choice.
There is no cost to Jackson for participating in the pageant competition. However, community businesses, organizations, and private individuals can assist her in participating in the upcoming competition by becoming an official sponsor to her.
