Bad Links? | Whitewater snaps losing streakThe Whitewater Lady Wildcats varsity softball team improved their region record to 3-3 with a win over Douglas County after tough losses to Northgate and Chapel Hill. Whitewater fell to Northgate 1-0 in eight innings and then followed it with another heartbreaking extra-inning loss to Chapel Hill, 4-3 in nine innings. The Lady Wildacts defeated Douglas County 6-1 and got RBIs from Meg Holman, who went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored and Lauren Moyer, who was 2-for-3 with a run scored. Moyeris hitting .529 and had two RBIs in the Chapel Hill loss. Tess Echols is also hitting well with a .348 average. We are playing great softball but are struggling a bit with finishing tight games, said Coach Stacey Smith. I could not be more pleased with our hitting and defense, but our hitting is lacking some pizazz. Whitewater is off until next Wednesday, when they will host Villa Rica at 4:30 p.m. |
