Lady Chiefs and Landmark boys finish tops of their class at Carrollton

The Carrollton Orthopedic Invitational was held last Saturday. There were races in four divisions; Championship, AAAAA, AAAA and A,AA,AAA. Each of the races had both boys and girls local teams competing.

In the girls championship division, Starr’s Mill placed eighth. Their top five runners were:

• Ginny Balckom, 24, 21:51

• Jesse Cort, 31, 21:59

• Kirsten Pretzer, 36, 22:06

• Kristin Horton, 57, 22:59

• Sarah Balkcom, 61, 23:12

Sandy Creek placed 17th. Their top five were:

• Christine Dunphy, 55, 22:51

• Ashley Blackburn, 79, 24:03

• Sara Harper, 104, 25:05

• Angela Holcomb, 136, 27:19

• Emily Goss, 156, 31:47

In the boys’s championship division, Starr’s Mill placed second. Their top five runners were:
