Olivet Baptist to celebrate anniversary

The Olivet Baptist Church of Christ in Fayetteville will celebrate its 13th Church Anniversary beginning the week of Sept. 26 through Oct. 3. Events will include worship services for both adults and youth, guest speakers, and a brunch and performance by a jazz band

The Sunday, Sept. 26, 10 a.m. worship service will feature guest speaker the Rev. Steven Thurston.The following Wednesday, Sept. 29, will feature a special youth service at 7 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 2, a Jazz Brunch is planned for 10 a.m. at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center, with the Four Souls Jazz Band. Tickets, required for the brunch, cost $25 for adults and $12 for children under 12. For ticket information call Olivet Baptist Church of Christ, 770-460-6656.

The final event will be Sunday, Oct. 3, with a 10 a.m. worship service led by the Rev. Donald L. Parson.

Members of the community are invited to join the celebration of the special event.
