Bad Links? | Christ the King church confirms 29 new membersChrist the King Charismatic Episcopal Church in Sharpsburg recently received 29 new members by confirmation or reception. The Most Rev. John W. Holloway, Bishop of Georgia, received or confirmed each of the new members in an evening service with the laying on of hands. Father David Epps, pastor of Christ the King, presented each person with a confirmation/reception stole. Those received into the church from Peachtree City included Tracy Bell, Scott and Kim Marhefka, David Cowgill, Jessica Bell and Kim and James Statzer. Those from Senoia included Charlotte Cannon, Christi Wright, Joy Barnes, Courtney Miller, Dwight Cannon and Ron Miller. Members from Sharpsburg included Karen Quinn, Scott Quinn, Donna Harris and Michael Harris. Those joining from Newnan included Edwin and Yolanda Cerniga, Helene Buelterman, Anne and James Dinkins, and Jack Allen. Also joining the church were Jennifer Higgins of Tyrone, Sylvia Hendrix of Moreland, William Nelson of Fairburn, and Michael Handley and Deborah Handley of Atlanta. Christ the King, which will celebrate its eighth anniversary on Sept. 12, began with 19 people in 1996 and now has approximately 150 families with 253 individual communicants. The church is on Ga. Hwy. 34, between Peachtree City and Newnan. |
