Bad Links? | Panasonic becomes Wildcat Sponsor of Cattle Barons' BallPanasonic, a division of Matsushita Communication Industrial Corporation of USA, recently presented a check for $6,000 to Dr. MarySue Goza and Gina Wilson, Co-Chairpersons of the Second Annual Cattle Barons Ball for the American Cancer Society - Fayette County. The generous donation designates Panasonic as a Wildcat Sponsor for the event. MCUSA is a world-class manufacturer specializing in automotive electronics and digital business telephone systems. Known for its Panasonic trademark, MCUSA is at the forefront of the automotive OEM and business telecom industries. MCUSA programs, packages and ships a versatile, customized line of OEM and Panasonic pagers. Located on Highway 74 in Peachtree City, Panasonic relocated here from Franklin Park, Ill. in July of 1987. Over the years they have demonstrated a strong commitment to our local community and local charitable events. This is the second year that Panasonic has contributed to the Cattle Barons Ball and therefore is supporting and assisting local cancer patients and their families and also contributing to research and development in finding a cure for cancer. The Second Annual Cattle Barons Ball of Fayette County is scheduled for Nov. 6 at the Kiwanis Exhibition Hall in Fayetteville. The Cattle Barons Ball is a major source of funding for the American Cancer Society. The inaugural event, held last October, raised $95,000. The proceeds from this event will contribute to the local programs of the American Cancer Society that are made available to our community free of charge as well as funding research and development.
