Zaxbys set to open MondayZaxbys owners and brothers Jon and Mike Windham, along with partner Jim Glenfield, will open the doors to Fayetteville's first Zaxbys, at 1325 Ga. Highway. 85 North on Monday. Ê Zaxbys, a Southeast favorite for chicken fingers and Buffalo wings, will operate from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. This is really an exciting project for us, said Jon. I have really enjoyed living in and being a part of the Fayetteville community for the past three years and I look forward to bringing the unique Zaxbys concept, as well as a new dining option, to our friends and neighbors. The latest Zaxbys showcases the chains newest interior design, featuring a bright, open interior décor, complemented by vintage memorabilia and signage.Ê The 3,500-square-foot restaurant will provide comfortable booths and tables with a seating capacity of 89.ÊThe partners have hired more than 40 new employees to staff the restaurant. Glenfield and the Windhams opened their first Zaxby's restaurant at 210 Worth Court in Peachtree City in October of last year. Construction has also begun on the partners' next Fayetteville location at 130 Hwy. 92, near the Town Center Shopping Center, which is slated to open later this fall. This location will be the third for Fayette County. Glenfield, who will serve as an operating partner and general manager, believes the restaurant from the atmosphere to the service will continue to exceed community expectations.Ê Weve assembled a great team of associates who, we are confident, will deliver on the Zaxbys mission to consistently create encore experiences that enrich lives one person at a time, said Glenfield. Zaxbys most popular items are its hand-breaded fresh chicken fingers and fresh jumbo Buffalo wings, smothered in a choice of eight sauces with names like Wimpy, Tongue Torch, Nuclear and Insane. ÊAn alternative to fast food, Zaxbys offers fresh, never-frozen, prepared-at-order chicken wings, Fingerz, and Zalads. Ê The menu offers innovative Zappetizers Onion Peel, Tater Chips (home-style potato chips) and made-from-scratch Spicy Fried Mushrooms.ÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊ Zaxbys recently introduced four new Zalads: The House, The Blue, The Blackened and The Caesar.Ê Each is prepared at order with grilled or fried chicken, three kinds of lettuce, shredded cheese, fresh veggies and juicy tomatoes.Ê The newly created Zalads offer more chicken, unique ingredients, such as French-fried onions, and are larger than most salads offered elsewhere.ÊEach Zalad is assembled at the time the order is placed, versus being pre-made and stored in a cooler.ÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊ Zaxbys built its business on providing the freshest chicken fingers, Buffalo wings, sandwiches and more in a fun, relaxing atmosphere.ÊZaxbys opened its first restaurant in Statesboro in May 1990, and by July 2001 opened its 100th location in Jacksonville, Fla.Ê Zaxbys recently celebrated its 200th store opening in its hometown of Athens, Ga., with locations throughout eight southeastern states.Ê The quick-casual format combines the ambience of a sit-down restaurant with convenient options for those on the go, including drive-thru and phone-in services.
