Radio controlled cars race at AMS next weekendThe 2004 Stop. Drop. Race! Tour will make its final pit stop at NOPI Nationals in Atlanta for the regional XMODS Racing League (XRL) Tournament and National Championship Race. Join thousands of car enthusiasts and a special celebrity guest at the Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sept. 18 and 19 for the years most-anticipated radio-controlled car racing event. On Saturday, racers will compete for a chance to represent Atlanta in the 2004 XRL National Championships. The regional winner will advance to race against nine of the nations top RC car racers in the XRL National Championships on Sunday for the pink slip to a super-modified 2004 Acura NSX loaded with enough aftermarket accessories to make any car lover drool. Challengers can enter by registering online at the official XMODS site, www.xmodsrc.com or by walking-up to the XRL Racing area at the Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sept. 18. League registration is $25. Racers will also be able to organize their own XMODS Racing Leagues and clubs in local cities through the site, which is already one of the leading RC-community destinations on the web. The XRL National Tournament is part of a nationwide RC car program from RadioShack. All Atlanta residents ages 13 and up are invited to compete in the XRL.
