Panther Prowl a success for Starrs MillIn spite of the rain and weather, the first annual Panther Prowl 5K/Fun Run was held Aug. 20. The Starrs Mill Touchdown club sponsored this event to kick off the football teams Saturday appearance at the Georgia Dome where they successfully took on Walton High School. There were 16 sponsors who graciously donated funds to help make this event possible. The Panther Prowl was a great kickoff to our season, said Coach Mike Earwood. What a great idea to involve everyone in such a worthwhile event. It was a huge success and I look for it to get bigger and better with time. Event Coordinators, Patt Coleman, Jan Landgraf, and Stephanie Sudduth, synchronized the advertising and organizing which helped make the night victorious.Ê While the event did start and finish in the schools stadium, the majority of the walk/run was held on the beautiful South Campus. Winners of the different categories were: Open: Male: Jeff Olive, Female: Paula May Masters: Male: Mark Hamilton Female: Nancy D'Aurio Middle School Male: Payne Spencer Female: Shannon Phillips High School Male: Dave Lawson Female: Claire Campbell 18-29 Year Old Male: J.B.
