<ò > Christs Church to launch 40 Days of Purpose seriesChrists Church at Whitewater is among 5,000 churches nationwide who are participating in the 40 Days of Purpose, which is a study through Rick Warrens best-selling and award-winning book, The Purpose Driven Life. Members will begin their journey together with a kickoff event on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 4 p.m. in the worship center. The afternoon will include Rick Warrens video message outlining the five purposes in the book, as well as praise and worship, food and fellowship. Childcare is provided for ages birth to 5th grade. According to a spokesperson, The 40 Days of Purpose seeks to answer lifes most important question, What on earth am I here for? By discovering the answer to this question, participants will learn Gods purposes for their lives, how all the pieces of life fit together, how God has uniquely designed them for His purposes, and most importantly, that He loves them unconditionally, the spokesperson said. This new perspective will provide each person with reduced stress, simplified decision making, and increased satisfaction in life. According to a member of the Christs Church 40 Days of Purpose Leadership Team, the vision for the 40 Days of Purpose at Christs Church is to unify and revive the congregation as they align themselves with Gods purposes. The goal is for the congregation to connect to ministry and service within their church and community, to one another through fellowship, and ultimately to the Lord through the study of His Word. The 40 Days of Purpose will conclude with a celebration event on Sunday, Nov. 7. The community is invited to join the journey. Christs Church is on Ga. Hwy. 85 South in Fayetteville.
