Braelinn Baptist breaks groundBy CAROLYN CARY
Seventeen-year-old Braelinn Baptist Church held a groundbreaking ceremony Sunday in the middle of its 94-acre tract. Bounded by Ga. Highway 74 North and Dogwood Trail, the initial phase of construction will provide a 12,000-square-foot, 600-seat multiuse worship facility. It will house Braelinns student ministries and later serve as the churchs temporary worship center when it moves from its current facilities at 777 Robinson Road in Peachtree City. The master plan calls for a permanent 1,500-seat worship center, which will be Phase II, a childrens theater, the student ministries complex, and a dedicated facility for Braelinn Community Services. The initial multiuse facility will eventually serve as Braelinns sports outreach center. Construction for the initial building is already underway, and completion of the building is scheduled for February, 2005.
