Four local teams ranked in top 10 in state volleyball

In the most recent GaSports.com Volleyball Coaches Poll, a number of our local teams were represented in the top 10 of their respective classifications.

Landmark Christian is ranked second in A/AA. The Lady War Eagles will host St. Pius and McIntosh tomorrow at 4:45 p.m.

In AAAA, Sandy Creek is ranked fourth, while the McIntosh Lady Chiefs are ranked fifth. Sandy Creek will host Starr’s Mill and Lakeside-DeKalb tomorrow, while McIntosh will play at Landmark.

Starr’s Mill’s Lady Panther volleyball team is ranked second in AAAAA. After tomorrow’s match at Sandy Creek, they will be off until next Thursday’s match at Lovett.

Our Lady of Mercy’s volleyball team will host Newnan and East Coweta tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. and Whitewater’s volleyball team, which is playing a JV schedule will play at Henry County this afternoon at 5 p.m.
