Religion BriefsHis House church to host homecoming this Sunday His House Community Church will host a Homecoming Extravaganza Sunday, Aug. 29, with a worship service at 11 a.m. followed by a barbecue ribs covered dish dinner. The event also will feature tours of the WW II God and Country Traveling Museum and rides in military vehicles. His House is at 2450 Ga. Hwy. 85 South in Senoia, just south of the fire station. Bethany ladies will host pancake breakfast The United Methodist Women at Bethany United Methodist Church will host a pancake breakfast Sunday, Aug. 29, at 9:30 a.m. Bethany is at 607 Rivers Rd. in north Fayette County. Grace Evangelical to offer womens Bible studies Grace Evangelical Churchs Womens Ministry will offer three Bible studies beginning Aug. 31 at 9:30 am. Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby is a 12-week study, When Godly People Do Ungodly Things by Beth Moore is a 7-week study, and Women of a Generous Spirit is a 12 -week book study. Christ Our Shepherd announces youth programs Middle School students are invited to join the Wednesday evening program at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church offered every Wednesday from 6-8:30 p.m. beginning Sept. 1. Youth learn a variety of skills from drama, puppets, art, liturgical dance, creative reading, hand bells, brass band and choir. All youth in the community are invited. Greek service stresses environmental protection The Greek Orthodox Mission of Peachtree City will have a Vesper prayer service for the protection of the environment Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. After Vespers, a fellowship reception will be held, and at 8 p.m. Julian Campbell of the Southern Conservation Trust will lead a program on how to protect and preserve the environment. The church meets at the Fayette Family YMCA, 215 Huiet Rd in Fayetteville. Covenant ladies Bible study starts Sept. 1 Covenant Presbyterian Church will offer a ladies Bible study on Beth Moores Breaking Free, beginning Wednesday, Sept. 1, from 9:30 a.m. until noon.
