Unite Fayette community worship event set for Sept. 19Several churches in the Fayette area have joined forces to present an evening of community worship called, Unite Fayette, Sunday, Sept. 19. at 7 p.m., at The villages amphitheater in Fayetteville. Local churches participating include Prince of Peace Lutheran, Grace Evangelical, Perimeter South Community Church, Braelinn Baptist, New Hope Baptist, Abundant Life Worship Center, Church of the Holy Cross, Unity Christian Church, Fayetteville Church of God of Prophecy, Operation Mobilization, Christian Families Today, Increase Inc. and Cherith Ministries. Our evening together will simply focus on Jesus and worshiping Him together as the Body of Christ, said Gray Harwell, speaking on behalf of Mission Jesus.. Ray Walker of Perimeter South Community Church and a team from various churches will lead in worship. Bruce Hebel of Grace Evangelical and three other Fayette pastors also will be featured speakers. Our purpose is simply to invite The Church in Fayette County to come together to worship our Lord. There will be no admission charge and no offering will be taken because Mission Jesus, Papa Johns Pizza and WVFJ are covering expenses, Harwell added. Flyers will be mailed to various churches and religious organizations in the area during the last week of August and other churches may join in the event. A special prayer meeting for Unite Fayette will be held at Grace Evangelical Church, 164 Flat Creek Trail in Fayetteville, from noon until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15. We believe it will bring great joy to God, our Father, and glory to Jesus, our Lord, if we, His children, will come together to worship Him as His Body, Harwell said. We would love for all churches or ministries to join their voices with ours in worship on Sunday, Sept. 19, at the Villages Amphitheater.
