PTC Council resets meeting for forumConcerned that they wouldnt have a quorum at a scheduled Sept. 16 meeting, members of the Peachtree City Council voted to move the session up a couple of days, to Sept. 14. But on that Tuesday, the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce will host a forum on the countys upcoming SPLOST referendum to fund road construction at the Peachtree City First Presbyterian Church. You better believe the council wants to be at that forum, said Mayor Steve Brown, who disagrees with the way the County Commission has decided to spend the revenue should voters OK raising the sales tax in Fayette County by a penny. To avoid the latest conflict with the Chamber forum, which starts at 7 p.m., the council meeting has been changed again, to a starting time of 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 14, said Brown. J. Frank Lynch
