Adopt a pet through Fulton Animal Services AgencyFurry friends looking for homes Looking for a lovable, four-legged addition to your family? Then Fulton County Animal Services (FCAS) is the place for you. A variety of purebred and mixed breed dogs, cats, puppies and kittens are in need of good homes. FCAS, open 7 days a week, offers pet adoption, licensing, behavior counseling, rabies/bite investigations, animal control services and other programs. FCAS also works diligently to spread the message of responsible pet ownership by providing information on spaying/neutering your pet to reduce overpopulation, and educating the public on the importance of treating animals humanely. Since March 2003, FCAS has been managed by Southern H.O.P.E. (Humane Options to Prevent Euthanasia), a non-profit animal advocacy organization. As a result, the pet euthanasia rate in Fulton County decreased from 80 percent to 52 percent, and the number of pets adopted or transferred to licensed animal rescue groups grew 550 percent (nearly 90 percent of animals in FCAS custody are strays). More programs are being designed to decrease the number of homeless animals countywide. View pictures and get additional information via the FCAS website at www.fultonanimalservices.com, or by calling 404-794-0358.
