Georgia Youth Ballet will hold auditions for its ninth annual
production of “The Nutcracker” on Saturday, August 21. Company auditions
will be held for Georgia Youth Ballet the same day.
“This is such an exciting time every year,” said GYB
artistic director Magdalena Maury. “Our season is beginning,
we are forming our company after a saummer break, and we begin
preparations for our annual classic.”
All auditions will be at The Studio, 220 Robinson Drive in Fayetteville
on Saturday, August 21. Dancers who want to be in both “The
Nutcracker” and the Georgia Youth Balet Company will audition
from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. as follows: 10-11 am for ages 10-13,
and 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for ages 14 and up. Dancers who only want
to perform in “The Nutcracker” without becoming members
of GYB will audition as follows: 1-2 p.m. for ages 5-8 and 2-3
p.m. for ages 9 and up.
