Religion BriefsFlat Rock anniversary revival starts tonightAnniversary events for Flat Rock AME church will kick off with a Homecoming revival starting tonight and continuing through Friday, Aug. 20, with services at 7 p.m. nightly. Events scheduled for Sunday will include church school at 10 a.m., a special youth worship service at 11 a.m., a welcome home dinner from 12:30-2:30 p.m., and a special anniversary worship service at 3 p.m., led by the Rev. Albertson is new intern at Christ Our ShepherdElizabeth Albertson, a masters of divinity candidate at Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa, has joined the staff of Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City for a yearlong pastoral internship. Albertson will spend the next year learning the practice of pastoral minister under the supervision of the Rev. Miriam Beecher. Moms Morning Out registration opensFayette Presbyterian Church is resuming its Moms Morning Out Program for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years. New Christs Church youth program begins this fallThe Christs Church youth program on Wednesdays this fall is called 2:42, which is based on Acts 2:42 (They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.) The youth program will be from 6-8 pm in the picnic pavilion, which is the new youth area. All middle school and high schools students are invited to participate through the use of live worship, high impact multimedia, drama, and teaching which is relevant to todays teenagers.
